The exhibition is a new body of work consisting of oil paintings and abstract sculptures. Quang Hong will release free standing and wall mounted sculptures made of forged steel and stainless metals incorporated with organic forms of colorful blown glass. The artist will also exhibit oil paintings depicting narratives and portraits; the figures confront the viewer with large entranced eyes that radiate a hypnotic feeling with their gaze and raise wayward emotions and interpretations. Born in 1974 in Qui Nhon , Vietnam and raised in Long Beach, California. He attended the University of California at Santa Cruz and received his B.A, in 1997. He has been living and working in Chicago since 2001.His glass and metal studio is located in Chicago Hot Glass and he owns a gallery in Chicago called Lotus Keep Gallery. His works can be found in many private collections. He has exhibited his work internationally and completed sculpture and painting commissions for numerous clients.
